Overview
A next-generation content management platform that embeds AI throughout the editorial workflow — from drafting and editing to SEO optimisation and content discovery. Built with Next.js on the frontend and a Node.js backend that orchestrates OpenAI and Anthropic APIs for content generation, with PostgreSQL and pgvector for semantic search across the content library.
The Challenge
A digital publishing company was spending 60% of editorial time on repetitive tasks — writing meta descriptions, tagging content, finding related articles, and repurposing long-form content into social snippets. They needed AI embedded into their existing workflow, not a separate tool.
The Solution
Integrated OpenAI GPT-4 for assisted writing and Anthropic Claude for long-form summarisation. Used pgvector to generate and store embeddings for every article, enabling semantic search that finds conceptually related content rather than just keyword matches. Built a streaming UI with the Vercel AI SDK for real-time generation feedback.
